Counties Energy Pukekohe is a local energy solutions provider with a vital role in building, maintaining, and operating the electricity network. Responsible for connecting over 49,000 homes, farms, and businesses across the region, Counties Energy plays a crucial role in providing essential services to the community. Being 100% locally owned by the Counties Energy Trust, the company has been operating for almost a century.
As Counties Energy transitions into a smarter energy system or Distribution System Operator (DSO), the communities it serves gain access to a wider range of energy choices, becoming more active participants in New Zealand’s low-carbon evolution.
Counties Energy Pukekohe faced the challenge of optimising their warehouse space through a comprehensive fit-out. Given the diverse range of palletized goods they stored, an efficient and flexible storage solution was essential.
To address the challenge of warehouse optimization, STACK-iT worked closely with Counties Energy Pukekohe to design a tailored solution. The implementation involved the use of our 5000 Series Pallet Racking system with specific configurations to maximise space utilisation. Standard bay lengths of 2743mm and standard bay depth of 900mm were chosen, providing space for two standard pallets per level. Box beams and mesh decks were utilised on higher levels for pallets, while rebate beams and MDF boards were employed to create picking levels below for smaller electrical components like plugs and switches.
For this project, STACK-iT specified the versatile 5000 Series Pallet Racking system. The customised configuration of this system allowed Counties Energy Pukekohe to efficiently store a diverse range of palletized goods, optimising their warehouse space for both large and small items.
