Who: Mitre 10 MEGA Queenstown
Where: Queenstown
Background:
Mitre 10 Mega Queenstown first opened in 2015, evolving from a much smaller facility. Growth in customer demand and yard activity meant their landscape and dispatch areas required additional efficient covered space to support order staging and weekend operations.
Challenge:
- Yard flow constraints.
- Lack of covered storage space in the landscape yard.
- Need for weather‑protected staging for orders requiring weekend dispatch.
Solution:
Stackit delivered a full design‑build IRS™ canopy system for the yard and dispatch area. The project included excavation, new footings and the extension of the existing fire system to ensure full compliance and long‑term durability. The structure was designed to integrate cleanly with the current site layout.
Key features:
- Full design‑build delivery
- Integrated excavation and footing works
- Fire system extension to maintain compliance
- IRS canopy providing durable and functional overhead protection
Results:
The completed canopy integrates seamlessly with the existing site, improving yard flow and dispatch efficiency while providing reliable covered storage that reduces product damage and supports weekend staging operations.
